On the move

Our girl is totally on the move now!  This week she has made a ton of progress.  She's growing so fast!!!
  • Lenna is getting into the drawers now of our coffee table
  • She is "pre-crawling".  Its pretty darn close sometimes to an actual crawl, 1 or 2 steps at a time
  • She can stand up and hold things now for a short time
  • She will walk with Daddy when he holds her arms
  • She can sit by herself for 5 minutes or so and just play
  • She loves horsey rides with Momma
  • She clucks and rolls her 'rrrrrs'
  • She has her two bottom teeth in and the two next to her front teeth in.  More seem to be on the way she acts like her whole mouth is in pain at time, but a little baby orajel goes a long way!
  • It is difficult to change diapers since Lenna is using her changing table as a launch pad for crawling.  Diaper changing is quite strategic now
  • Lenna does not like her green baby food, but loves her squash, sweet potatoes, and all fruit.  She'll eat the green stuff but doesn't seem to enjoy it as much.  Lately we have been giving her baby yogurt and stage 2 baby foods which have new flavors for her.  By her rolls on her legs you can tell she gets plenty to eat!

Happy Birthday Daddy and 6 Month Birthday Lenna!

Happy Birthday to Daddy and Happy Half Year Birthday to Lenna!  Love you both, will take some pictures when you both wake up from your naps!

Update:  both are up from their naps and looking good!  Daddy and dear daughter got some perfect photo opp's in.  Look at our girl sitting up all by herself with her new outfit from Godparents Tim & Jodie.

Gilchrist Family Reunion

Lenna's Grandma Jenny's side of the family (Gilchrist) had a family reunion this weekend.  Lenna enjoyed meeting many new cousins, second cousins, and  Great Aunts and Uncles.  We attended BBQ Friday night, stayed at a wonderful CSM hotel at the Spring Hill Suites in St. Louis Park.
Then on Saturday we hung out at the Riverwood Resort in Elk River for the day.  Lenna got to go to the water park and hang out on the lazy river with Daddy while Lenna's Godmother Jodie and I went shopping for baby clothes at the Outlets in Albertville.  Towards the evening we had a wonderful buffet and the family reminisced and went over the family tree (which I learned a lot from).  Sure wore Lenna out, she was up for an hour today for breakfast and has been napping since!

Here are some pictures taken over the weekend (in no particular order).  The family took some good group shots and family photos and I will share them on here when we get them:

Family Visiting from Denmark

Lenna has had a busy week this past week.  Monday Mom had off work (for the 4th of July holiday) so she got to hang out at home.  On Tuesday Lenna got to hang out with Grandma Sue because we didn't have daycare that day.  Then Lenna's Grandma Jenny & Grandpa Frank came over with Lenna's Great Aunt Nancy and Uncle Greg from Denmark.  Greg is staying with us and Lenna sure loves the quality time she is getting from her Uncle.

Then on Wednesday we had more Danish arrive!  Tony's cousin Ann, her husband Jesper, daughter Katja, and two boys Kasper and Thomas are staying with us some as well.  They are staying in our shed apartment that Tony and I lived in before we built our house.  They are enjoying the country.  Katja and Ann are very proficient equestrians.  They got their first taste of western riding this week.  I think I can learn alot from them, look at how Ann has our 3 year old horse collected!

4th of July Weekend

Lenna, Tony and I had a nice laid back 4th of July weekend.  We hope all of our blog readers enjoyed their weekend as well.  On Saturday I went to another Omoksee horse show in Delano.  Lenna LOVES animals.  She will look at the horses, Sarge, the kitties, other puppies, and just giggle and laugh at them.  Her kitties name is KiKi (the orange one) and Sarge's kitty is named Smokey.  They are getting big down in the shed I'll have to get more pictures of Lenna tugging on them, oh I mean petting them.  Lenna is rolling and learning to crawl all over the floor now.  She also got her first horsey "sit" at the show on Saturday.  Lenna is also showing off her new cow ears hat from Cousin Amber.
