Lenna's Baptism

Last Sunday Lenna was baptized. We had so many friends and family over and it was a busy day for Lenna. We were able to get some good pictures of her in her dress. Her baptism dress was given to us at my baby shower from my Grandma and Aunts. She was a beautiful little girl.

Lenna's necklace was from her Grandma Sue. My Mom had a little bracelet with this heart on it that she got from her Grandmother and wore on her baptism. The bracelet broke but Grandma had the jewelry store put it on a chain. It is partially 60 years old and something Lenna can always have.

Lenna got her first bible from my friend Wanda and the cross from Uncle Tim and Aunt Jodie

Here is a picture of Lenna with her Godparents, Aunts and Uncles Tim, Jodie, Kelli & Keith

It's Official: Maternity Leave is Over

Lenna starts daycare full time tomorrow and I go back to work. It has been a blessing to be able to spend the past 10 weeks with our wonderful daughter. This past weekend we got some work done around the house and ready for Lenna's baptism. Lenna was such a good little girl in church this morning so next weekend should be a breeze. We are excited to have family and friends join us for this occasion. We had some fun with Lenna's new bunny ears to prepare for Easter as well. Grandma Sue even joined in on the fun.

Daycare

We threw a lot at Lenna this past week. After her shots, she ran a low grade fever throughout the weekend. It also threw her sleeping schedule off at night and she woke up a bit more. Then she caught a touch of the head cold Tony and I had and her voice was hoarse, but she didn't have the nasal congestion we had. She is now back to normal with her sleep schedule, either sleeping straight threw from 10p-6a or getting up once around 3am for a feeding. On Monday Lenna started daycare at Doreen's this week. We wanted to bring Lenna to daycare the week before I started work so Lenna got used to shorter days. She is doing great with daycare and we are so glad to have her at such a nice family daycare. The first two days were fine, but after yesterday when I dropped her off, Mommy got a bit sad. On Monday I start work full time. I mean how could you not get sad when Lenna is so happy in the mornings? Just look at her, this is the beautiful girl I was lucky enough to spend every morning with for the past 10 weeks. What more could one ask for?

Development wise, Lenna is growing fast. She loves her rattles now, and is laying on her tummy for at least 5 minutes before she gets mad. She rolled over on her tummy time mat for the first time 2 nights ago from belly to back. She hasn't done it again but I'm sure its coming soon. We have some issues with Lenna being fussy in the evenings around 6-7. Well now that it is nice out we bring Lenna outside for fresh air and that helps with that. Here she is getting ready to go outside with Daddy, I think she's got plenty of room in those boots, but its fun to see how Daddy dresses her :) :

A week from this Sunday, Lenna gets baptized, so we will be busy getting some things done around the house until then.

Happy 2 Month Old Birthday Little Lenna

Lenna is 2 months old today! She has been a wonderful addition to our home. Along with her turning 2 months today, we had her 2 month well baby checkup today. Today was the day Lenna got her dreaded first vaccinations. Thanks to Grandma Sue for coming with us since Daddy had the perfect excuse for getting out of this one (he had to work, LOL).

Here are the stats on Lenna now:
Height: 23 1/4" --> 85th percentile
Weight: 11 lbs 7 oz --> 68th percentile
Head Circumference: 40 cm --> 81st percentile

After her shots she's still herself:

Except she's clearly has sore thighs and they hurt.

She cried a little after her shots but has been napping frequently today. Here she is with Sarge. He's staying close to her keeping an eye on her as he does with all of us when we are sick or hurting. Such a good puppy.

Sarge had to catch a nap for himself, of course. Babysitting is hard work!

Busy Week(end)

Daddy, Lenna and I have had a busy week this past week/weekend. Last Saturday Lenna and I enjoyed the wonderful spring weather and went shopping at the outlet mall, then met my friend Kelly and her lovely daughter Lauryn at Granite City for supper. After supper we went to Babies R Us in Maple Grove. Who would have thought 12 years ago when we hung out as freshman in college that we would enjoy hanging out at Babies R Us? I don't think I could have bet money on that one. I of course forgot to take some pictures but there is always next time :).

On Sunday we took my horse Benny to get a tune-up on his training at Redwood Stables in Morton and Lenna got to meet Dennis Auslam, Benny's trainer. We had to drop Grandpa Lenny off at the casino to gamble a little bit and Daddy went to play while Lenna and I hung out on the couch in the hotel lobby.

Then on Monday we enjoyed another stay at the Depot Minneapolis because Daddy had to work some extra hours at the Twin's Stadium from 9pm to 1am. On Tuesday Lenna met my former colleagues from CH Robinson, Amanda and Janet for lunch at Applebees. Here she is with Janet, I didn't get a chance to catch a picture with Amanda (there's always next time):

Daddy Time

Lenna loves hanging with Daddy. He constantly is reading books to her.

Here she is checking out her puppy Sargie Boy. They say babies like black & white, so good thing we have a puppy that color, LOL.

Hello Neighbor!

I'm slacking off on my posting. Lenna had our neighbors Elaine and Lisa stop by the weekend before last to meet Lenna. Mommy woke her up from her nap, but she didn't mind the company.
