Pray for Uncle Chumly

Lenna's Uncle Chumly got into a bad motorcycle crash lat Saturday morning.  He has been in ICU since.  We were pretty worried about him for a couple days now.  We still are but today he is no longer sedated to watch his brain injury and he will be oved out of ICU to the "Neuro Progressive Unit" which will continue to monitor his brain injury.  He also has a fractured collar bone and facial fracture but signs are looking up that he is doing good.  I took the day off to spend with him at the hospital and he is snoring away now (which is good).

19 Months

Lenna turned 19 months this week.  She has been quite busy.  Here is what she has been up to:

• She is making animal sounds really good.  We ask her "What does the horse say?"  She will respond.  She will do this for a horse, cow, rooster, sheep so far.
• We have one rooster, his name is Wilson.  When he crows, Lenna will try to respond to him.  Its so cute.  I will have to get this on flip video sometime
• She is ready to ride with Mom on the horses!  She rode around with Momma and Mya the other night for about half hour.  We just walked around the yard, etc.  We bought Lenna a horse riding helmet today, so if she wants to come with us more, it is safer.  We even bought her own brush to help groom the horses.
• Long pants were a must around here for a while.  We had some cracked up knees to heal!
• She is TOUGH!  She got accidentally burnt on the exhaust of the 4 wheeler and shrugged it off like it was nothing, a scratch.  We didn't even notice that it was a burn until an hour later and she was in the tub.  So far it is healing good, but we felt really bad about this one.
• She loves sidewalk chalk.  She just needs to learn that it is only for the sidewalk (minor details).
• She is starting to love baths a lot more and not so paranoid about getting water in her ears
• She is starting to learn 1-2-3 pretty good and will hold up 1 finger if you ask her how old she is (sometimes)
• When you ask her "What's your name?"  She will try to pronounce her name, Lenna.  It's cute.

I am probably missing out on some things since our little one is so busy.  Thanks for reading everyone!

Long time - No Blog Photo Catch up.

To all of our blog readers - I truly apologize.  I am going to picture overload to tell the story of what Lenna has been  up to this past month.

Lenna and I went to the Mall of America to shop and play while Daddy worked on his job one Saturday

Grandma Jenny & Grandpa Frank came to visit so we spent the 4th of July in Annandale.  Here is a little bit of time at the lake

We have been working with Lenna slowly on the potty.  She has a  potty chair for her baby Stella doll from Manhatten Toy.  Sometimes she decides to have her other toys go potty on the potty and she 'wipes' them with TP.

Lenna sits on the potty every morning and goes potty almost every morning unless she sleeps in.  We work with her randomly throughout the day if we are home too.  So far she is getting the #1 & #2 concept

Lenna got ponied around on Gussy boy tonight.  It looks like she is riding awesome but Mommy was standing very close by in case something happened while Daddy was saying "put your hand down".  Lenna loves saying horsee and tries to bring hay and grass down to the horses.  About the only time she pays attention to the tv is when there are horses on it.

Lenna is getting her last two eye teeth on the bottom before her 2 year molars come in.  This makes it rough on the little gal in the evenings.  Hopefully they cut through soon.
